I am a very cheap budget and I am thinking about having a fall wedding, sometime around Oct. but I am clueless about what kind of flowers I could use.....any advice would be great!!! Thanks
keep in mind I am on a budget!! Also if it helps I am from TN.
What are some low budget flowers I could use for a fall wedding??
You say you are on a tight budget? Mine was so tight my whole wedding cost me about 150. bucks. Kid ya not. The most expensive thing was my dress. I went and found an Okay dress kinda the style I was looking for on the upper half. I spent 50. bucks on it at Good Will. Took it to my friends and we totally tore it apart, dyed most of it and made up updated and classy. Then I took a couple girls (mine and a friends daughter) with me to Hobby Lobby. Around one week before I got married, we three picked out fall colors. I had actually Got married October 26 of 07. We decided to up the wedding the Friday before that. We were originally suppose to get married on March 17, 2008. So, My bouquet actually consists of Fall leaves with tiny fall colored like Sweet Annie I think its called. Its a decorative item. Anyways, go get some wide ribbon that has sides that are bendable. By some straight pins. Cut off the bottoms of the flowers and hot glue them. Keeps them from poking out. Then wrap and put straight pins through them. My hair cost $50., my bouquet $5.00, Dress $50.00, extra material maybe $25.00. Anything is possible just put your mind to it. Open up your thoughts and walk around the store mix-matching colors. Take a friend or two with you so you can get an idea. Good Luck to ya.
Reply:Mums are cheap and come in a variety of colors. Greenery such as ferns is classic. You could use falls veggies - pumpkins, hard squash, decorative corn.
Reply:Asters are in season then, and are lovely. You can get them in many colors.

Reply:I had a fall wedding 5 years ago, and what we did (cause we planed our wedding in 6 weeks) was buy the seasonal flowers from the local Costco (of you could from the grocery store) and got some ribbon from the craft store and made them up the evening before, it didn't take long with some help, and they included sunflowers, and mums, and other fall flowers, and we got sunflower yellow ribbon, and it was only $7/boquet for each boquet, (mine and the 2 bridesmaids). Then for the men, we just took a flower from one of the boquet and pined them on. Cheaper than fake flowers and no one ever knew they were not professionally done.
Reply:Sunflowers, Black-Eyed Susans, and Chrysanthemums.
They are inexpensive, easy to get, come in many different colors and look beautiful. Plus they last a while!
For variety you can add all kinds of inexpensive things like baby's breath. From the great (FREE) outdoors you can snip dried wheats/grain/grasses and branches with different berries on them.
I hope this helps-- congrats!!! :)
Reply:I married in October of 06 and i used all fake flowers and just used all fall colors, they turned out beautiful and noone noticed that they were fake.
Also having fake ones you can also save money and make the arrangements yourself.
Reply:mums, grocery stores sell potted mums during the fall for cheap. you could work small pots into your centerpieces and if your crafty you could buy some larger plants and cut the flowers to make the rest of your flowers. you could also incorporate fall leaves into all of your designs.

(instead of cloves you could use tiny fake roses)
A white prayer book with flowing ribbons
Or wear white gloves - very Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn
Reply:Do fake flowers we are. My bouquet is so gorgeous too I love it. My soon to be SIL made mine and my other SIL's flowers and everything they are going to be great.
My colors are turquoise and brown so I have turquoise and brown calla lillies and she bought green leave things and she just painted the calla lillies and im not lying they turned out just how I wanted them too.
Reply:Mums come in all colors and sizes. The large spider mum is spectacular in bouquets. More of my favorites that make a WOW statement, Sunflowers, gerber daisies, dahlias, all
come in rich vibrant colors. Add some wheat, dry fall foliage,
to make some filler.
You could make simple hand tied bouquets without breaking your budget. I used for my nephew's wedding, small pumpkins as centerpieces filled with flowers. They look wonderful. I spray painted some of the pumpkins in white and filled them with branches and dry foliage. Have fun.
Reply:Carnations are beautiful flowers, and inexpensive. There also in season pretty much year round.
