I'm on a very tight budget, and I don't mind making my own flowers, and decorations. But I need to get a hold of some catalogs to look thru. Anyone have any ideas to where I can get cheap but nice invitations, etc........
Does anyone know where I can get cheap wedding items........?
Here are some sugguestions I used for my wedding this year. I made my own invitations, and I could tell you how too. They were cheap but looked great. I bought my dress brand new on ebay, it was gorgeous. I bought fresh flowers from www.growingtulips.com. They were mailed here from Holland and I saved a lot of money. I arranged them myself, and it was cheap. As for decorations, we bought the pricy pew bows that you just pull the string and it makes a perfect bow every time. If you can make bows it would be cheaper to just buy the ribbon in a huge roll. As far as pew clips, favors and other things, try oriental trading, and you can even catch specials on www.theknot.com. I went to places like Michaels, Hobby Lobby and even Wal-mart to look for things. For a tablecloths, (our wedding colors were black and white) my mom found some on sale after halloween and they were the right colors. I added a table runner, that was wall paper border that matched and put vases in the middle of the table. Each vase costed less than $1 at walmart and I added some clear easter grass, a few clear marbles and some silver glitter, with water and a white floating candle. They were nice. Email me for more ideas. rdnkchic2003@yahoo.com
Reply:Make your own on the computer. Google "home made invitations" or "hand made invitation ideas" or something like that. Get a few rubber stamps, get creative! I had a lot of fun making my own and I know it saved me a ton of money. If you go to craft stores and buy the card stock and vellum when it's on sale, you can really get it cheap!

or michales craft stores.
Reply:ebay has a great list of wedding items, you'd also be amazed at what you can find at dollar stores, your flowers, candles, napkins ect...
Reply:Try searching online. As for invitations, you can go to your local office supply store (i.e., Staples, Office Depot) and buy blank invitations that your can put through your printer at home. Also, depending where you live, you can find favors, bridal party jewelry, cake cuttery, etc. if yo go downtown or to your local garmet district. Good luck!
