Invasive but beautiful climber?

Hi there.

What are some fast growing, cheap, invasive, climbing, flowering plants ?

Thanks !

Invasive but beautiful climber?
Wisteria is the #1 offender in my book. Beautiful, but it will eat you alive. Plus, the root system puts out shooters which will grow several yards away from the mother plant into an entirely new plant. Usually where it doesn't need to be...like in your neighbor's yard, or in your veggie garden. Ugh!
Reply:If you truly meant "invasive" then try Trumpet Vine (also known as Virginia Creeper.) The wild variety produces bright orange trumpet shaped flowers spring thru summer. In the fall long seeds pods develop. There is also a cultivated variety with yellow flowers. Wisteria is another good choice, but it only blooms in the spring.
Reply:Japanese honeysuckle ohhh and has such an intoxicating aroma! And Chinese wisteria has big beautiful flowers . Here are a few links I have found
Reply:I don't know what area you are in. If it is not warm all year then clematis or morning glory are good. If it is California or Florida type areas then wisteria and other tropicals like that grow well.

If you just want something quick and superinvasive then bittersweet has flowers and berries. It twists its way up plants and trees like a strangler fig. It survives up into northern US.
Reply:Passion flower vine , white potato vine ,morning glory and star Jasmine . They all flower in spring and summer ,and the Jasmine all year long and they are very fragrant .
Reply:Campsis radicans (trumpet vine) spreads like crazy! There are a few different ones and they either have yellow or red trumpet shaped flowers.

Solanum jasminoides (potato vine) is a fast grower, not terribly invasive as you can contain it. If you are in zone 9, you should consider it.
