In terms of an elegant cheap flower, it really depends on how you define "elegant". Some people think carnations are "elegant", some people think they're just plain cheap. It's all about personal taste.
If you want frugal flowers you should definitely buy flowers that are in season. There's more variety, and they're cheaper to come by. Another alternative is to go to your local grocery store and order flowers there. Grocery store florists are much cheaper than a regular florist. If you go with a regular florist, you can save money by bargaining or offering to pay by cash instead of credit card. Another way to save money is to create your own bouquets. This however takes time and effort, and you may not achieve the look you desire. Some people go with silks, but in my personal opinion, they're not very elegant.
What is the cheapest, yet elegant flowers that can be use for a wedding?
carnations are good. and can be sprayed to your color scheme. also include some Baby's Breaths.
Reply:it depends on when the wedding will be held, and what your personal preferences are. check with your florist to see what is in season at the time of the wedding. i was married in october, and found that there were actually several varieties of roses that were in season at that time, and several varieties of daisies/asters as well.
another option - ask the florist about incorporating herbs into your bouquets. some herbs are more interesting to look at than plain greenery (like dill - the seed heads are as pretty as flowers, and the foliage is airy and fern like), they all have nice floral meanings, and they smell good to boot. for instance, rosemary is a nice touch: it looks like evergreen greenery, smells great, and stands for remembrance - in other words, you and your guests will always think of your wedding when you smell rosemary.
Reply:That depends on what they are for. If it's for the bride's bouquet then it's really her choice. If it's for anything else, white carnations are both cheap and look fine.
Reply:get a scissor and start going around your neighbor house. then use colorful rapping paper
Reply:depends - ask your florist or your flower shop - At different times of the year your have different flowers in season. Those in season will be cheaper. Ask them how you can get the most for your money. I would suggest using a lot of greenery and a few flowers
Reply:Silk Calla Lilies - I purchased all silk flowers to make my own arrangements, bouquets, boutonnieres, center pieces etc. I just couldn't justify (or afford) paying hundreds of dollars on flowers that would just die - even if I gave them away, eventually they will die. Reply:Daisies are relatively inexpensive and so are Stargazer Lilies.
Tulips don't usually cost much and very elegant. There are different types of lillies also that are beautiful.
If you used the Stargazer Lillies, you wouldn't need more than one or two in a bouquet and have greenery and baby's breath in with it. Even a single one with some greenery and ribbon would make a lovely bouquet.
If you want nice look-a-likes, some silk flowers nowadays look real. And they don't cost as much.
Reply:Go to Michael's Craft Store and buy some beautiful silk flowers that you want for bouquets etc. Buy a book on bouquet arranging to help you. It will cost but I don't think as much as fresh flowers. fresh flowers are expensive no doubt.,
