Cheaper to make them. We went through Costco and purchased all of our roses wholesale for $12.99 per 2 dozen. I bought vases at Michael's' for $3 each and made all the centerpiece arrangements for under $15 each. I also purchased pew cones from www.pewcones.com and filled them with roses and hung them at the church. After the ceremony, I brought the pewcones filled with roses to the reception and hung them on the bridal party chairs. We let our guests take them home at the end of the night. Hope this helps!!
Is it cheaper to make your ceremony flowers and bouquets or buy them?
I always see people say it's cheaper to make your own...but I found it to be totally different when I went shopping.
Price your materials. Centerpieces alone were $10 LESS each to have the florist make them with fresh cut flowers. Shop around, then call florist %26amp; get prices.
Reply:If you're confident with your ability or can have someone help who is, it's much cheaper. You can find lots of websites who ship wholesale flowers by Googling for them.
Reply:its cheaper to make them yourself. When you decide on what type of flower you want be sure to buy wholesale it costs less.
Reply:Definitely cheaper to make than to buy. However, if you're not great with floral design (as in you're not very well trained) or if you don't have the space to store the finished arrangements or the time to do them, then you should definitely hire someone.
Reply:definitely cheaper to make them. i'm not sure where you are but in canada here....it sure cost a fortune for real flowers! and i think silk flowers now looks almost real and it would be nice to be able to keep them as a momento. is your big day after all ;)
Reply:If you know someone who is crafty,,,much cheaper to make them,
Reply:It's WAY cheaper to make your own. I did for mine, and I'm doing it for my sister's wedding too. You'll probably pay at least $50.00 per bouquet if you buy them live. Another bonus is that you don't have to worry about damage and wilting. I went to Michael's craft store and bought pre-made rose bouquets (about $12.99, but less when they're on sale) and inserted three extra, different-colored flowers into each and put in some sparkly things. Everyone gushed about how great they looked. And it makes it special knowing that YOU did it. Just look for store specials (I bought my flowers when Michael's ran their 50% off sale).
Reply:I bought bulk flowers from Sam's Club. They were beautiful. I made all of the flowers for the ceremony and reception (including centerpieces). I only paid $500-600 and it was well worth it.
Reply:Most definitely cheaper to make them, but keep in mind that it takes a lot of time, and they don't last forever, so it might be hard to do it yourself, depending on how many you need/want.
