Grocery stores like HEB, Walmart, etc.

Is it cheaper to buy flowers from the grocery story than from the florist?
Yes. Sometimes the quality and choices aren't as good as at a florist but they are cheaper.
Reply:The grocery store is always cheaper and always walmart. Because they have the ability to buy flowers in bulk for like there million stores they have they can sell them at cheaper prices. Flower shops are usually individually owned and marked up a lot. They are a better quality than you would get at walmart so you have to decided what you want more cheaper or better quality.
Reply:florist

there are much freasher
Reply:Absolutely a grocery store. It may not always be a variety there but with a nice ribbbon bow tying the stems together, you`ve got a winner. Most stores sell accessories for .99 cents.
Reply:Yes. It is usually much cheaper to buy flowers this way. But the key to not looking like a cheapskate is to give the person something much more valuable than flowers, your time and attention.

Deliver the flowers yourself and spend some time with this person to show them just how much they mean to you. Maybe surprise them and take them to lunch.
Reply:Usually and you can ask them to wrap the flowers in tissue paper w/a tie and they will do so for free at the grocery stores.

Don't know if you have a Krogers grocery store where you live, but they will cater to you.
